Fluid, Inc [2010-present]
Since 2010 I’ve been working as a Lead Engineer at Fluid, Inc creating eCommerce sites for top brands. Fluid delivers engaging shopping experiences using rich media and social integration.
At Fluid I’ve been building e-commerce sites, intranets, Javascript animations, Facebook applications and RESTful API’s for clients like Jeld-Wen, Lancôme, Benfit Cosmetics, Theory, The North Face, Calvin Klein Fragrances and Sears among others.
The technologies I’ve been working with at Fluid include Demandware, PHP, Javascript, symfony, ruby and Flex.
Fluid HQ is located in San Francisco with offices in NY.
Model Management [2008-2009]
Model Management is an international social network for connecting models with photographers and agencies available in more than 10 languages.
During twelve months I worked with Production Paradise team to conceive, design and develop this platform which is rapidly becoming the meeting point for professional and aspiring models.
I designed the first version of the main model profile and coded multiple innovative user interface elements for this site using JavaScript, like the Ajax search system, the photo upload and cropping system and the photo viewer.
Many custom features and modules where developed for this site, including quality management, mailing support, internationalization support, payment gateway integration, casting management, dynamic photo sizing and watermarking, widget creation…

Vimity [2009]
Vimity is a community for the visual media industry. This project was created in parallel with Model Management. I was involved in multiple parts of this project like: naming, initial site design and some components that were shared with Model Management like: scalable image storage engine, flash photo uploading, image croppers…
Lingus.tv [2008]
Lingus.tv is an education site for English speakers who want to practice their Spanish. I helped with the design and programmed the site, including the back-end to manage editorial flow and an innovative system to recode and distribute videos in the biggest video networks.

FlashMotor.tv [2008]
A video blog in Spanish about cars. I designed and programmed the site including a sync module for aggregating comments and views from YouTube into FlashMotor.tv.
iWeekend.org [2008]
iWeekend is a non profit organization for empowering entrepreneurship on the internet. I was involved not only on the creation of the logo and the first website, but also on the organization of the first event and as master of ceremonies at future events.

Before 2008…
… I coded many small business sites, corporate intranets, document and project management systems and real estate applications. I also administered a pool of servers for a hosting company.
